The Walt Disney Company has been creating a childhood culture all over the world through fantasy, imagination, and hope. It never cross my mind how these Disney films have engraved a certain perspective or even a stereotype. As kids, it is with an unconscious mind while watching princesses, princes, animals, sing-along-songs, and fun animation. The story lines were loving, the villains can be scary, and there could be a tear here and there. It can be a subtle yet accumulative period of time that Disney slowly shape what we know and understand about the society we live in. Here is a paper I wrote about the evolutionary change in how classic Disney movies femininity and masculinity are gradually portrayed different in the current Disney movies.

The Disney Corporation is one of the predominate company internationally and are viewed by a large range of audience at all ages of any generation. It is safe to believe, Disney culture can inspires many people now to behave and perceive in a certain way. It is said culture are to be kept for a long term, the current Disney has developed and adapted new cultures and perspectives in gender roles and expectations. Despite the underlie messages, sexism, and racism, etc. Disney seems to portray in many analysis and building their childhood memory.

As I've said before, I never noticed how the underlying messages from Disney can potentially be embedded in our unconscious minds, thus make a negative effect to the society we live in. I grew up watching Disney and plainly enjoyed the imagination, magical, and fantasy the characters tells the story. Even as an adult when watching Disney and being aware of the messages, it does not bother me nor shift my image of Disney because I simply appreciate the animation, visuals, and music.
